Verse 5 is not a passage that has been mentioned in isolation. In verses before, scripture describes Noah as a man who did ‘all’ that the Lord had commanded him. Noah was a man of submission. He was a man totally sold out to God and scripture did not shy away from recognising this. He was a unique man who desired to walk with God. This is both a message and a challenge to us. To seek God by obeying Him fully.
