Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
Genesis 7:21-24 NIV

When God decides to start a new beginning He wipes the slate clean and starts afresh. Here, humanity was completely wiped from the face of the Earth. Not only humanity but also the animals were destroyed. God’s new beginning would start with the man Noah. He was the only one spared together with the others who were spared on his behalf. Scripture is very elaborate …every living thing was destroyed. From now onwards, it would be a fresh beginning.
If we choose to be irredeemably disobedient, God will put us aside and raise up a new generation true to Him. He would judge us in our sin. However, not only that, He would respond to those who have truly sought after Him even if they are one or two in a million.
