Paul while giving an account of his challenges in the province of Asia found it fit to share a word encouragement to those who faced challenges. The God Who delivered them from the challenges in Asia, will deliver them from the challenges they are currently going through. He looked back and saw God’s hand of deliverance. This gave him strength to look ahead and see God delivering them from the current troubles. I’m reminded of the story of the children of Israel. When faced with a challenge, they always had a reference point to hinge their faith in God… The deliverance from the Egyptians through the Red Sea. Today, what can we look back to as a reference point as we look ahead while trusting in God? I guess the year 2020 for most of us was an uphill task. We can testify today that if it wasn’t for God’s grace, we wouldn’t have made it. But here we are. He has healed us, provided for us, restored us, comforted us in 2020. So we have faith that He’ll be faithful in 2021 and beyond. Thanks be to God, Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
