Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

The word of God at times looks paradoxical. But it is true. Truth is paradoxical. Because it is not based on the obvious outcome of worldly systems but on His will. Meek people rarely make waves. They don’t move the masses. They give preference to others over themselves. They are sometimes looked down upon. But deep within them is a God planted wellspring of strength. They please God in many ways. Moses of old was described as the meekest man on earth, Christ was described as a man who chose to ‘humble Himself to death on the Cross’. Humility or meekness seems one of the least attractive attributes God requires of us but it is one which God Himself acts on behalf of. Scripture tells us to humble ourselves and God will lift us up. When God steps into our circumstances on our behalf, there is no limit to what He can do for us. The meek will inherit the new earth.
