LIFE SCRIPTS

Our life's patterns transformed by God's grand story

Judge not…

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 7:1‭-‬2 KJV

There is a catch with being too critical of people…the same measure of criticism will be used on us. There is a silver lining in the lives of those who’ve fallen into sin and have experienced the grace of God…they are usually merciful and gracious to others. They have experienced God’s grace. They choose to show grace to others because they are products of the same. When we are gracious and slow to judge others, we’ll transfer a gracious spirit to them. They’ll end up being gracious and merciful to others. What a wonderful world we’ll live in. These verses remind me that a good society begins with me. When I choose to be good to others, they’ll in turn be good to other people. So it’s important to be good to others. This is irrespective of whether they have been good to me or not. Remember, I cannot choose what others do to me but I can choose my response.
