The teachings of Christ did not just carry a message, they were loaded with a potential to convict the sinner. Christ spoke with such simplicity yet with so much authority. His message was communicated not only through His words. His deeds matched what He said. I’m sure the people He spoke to looked into His life to see if there was any element of truth in it. They were indeed convinced that He not only spoke. He lived what He spoke. This is our challenge today! Do we live our lives the way we speak? Do we lay our convictions open through our lives or do we just speak about our faith with no evidence to back it? I must cultivate a culture of being authoritative in my life. This can only happen if the way I live my life is consistent with the way I speak.
