Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Christ urges us not to fear because we have nothing to fear. He entrusts us with His word, the Truth. We must not be fearful about talking about His truth. We must be ready to proclaim it wherever we are…in our neighborhoods, our workplaces in our families. Even if there is opposition from the opponents of the gospel, we must still be ready to share the Truth in wisdom. How often are we intimidated and held hostage by those who oppose the gospel? How often don’t we take the initiative and pray before our working day in our offices because of fear of criticism? How often do we shy away from confronting corruption and tribalism because we fear a backlash? We are all not perfect. But God has called us to perfection. Perfection not on our own account but on account of the truth of the gospel. The redemptive truth of the cleansing power of the Blood of Christ. This we must be ready to represent at all costs and in all situations.
