And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

Jesus teaches us a very important lesson in management…issue instructions, delegate then let the people get to work as you attend to other issues. Christ still knew that He must continue with work. He knew that even though He had dispatched His disciples, other people, cities and communities were still expecting Him. He saw that the need was great. Indeed He even stated to His disciples that the harvest was plenty but the laborers few. So He decides to utilize resources economically. Instead of walking together as a group of 72 with His disciples, He chose to instruct, commission and send them to do ministry as He also did the same. This is the same attitude we must have in church. To be equipped in order to move out of our comfort zones and reach out. When we are amassed together as a bunch of Christians we add little value to society. However, when we decide to move in small numbers to impact our spheres, we make good progress in propagating the gospel of the Kingdom.
