LIFE SCRIPTS

Our life's patterns transformed by God's grand story

‘Behold My Servant’

and charged them that they should not make him known: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; My beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, And he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; Neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, And smoking flax shall he not quench, Till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
Matthew 12:16‭-‬21 KJV

As we introspectively look into our lives we must always ask ourselves some pertinent questions to see if we have a Christ like character. Christ went on with His business of serving people. He did not seek publicity… He did not seek political office… He did not seek to please anyone but the One who sent Him. He chose not to make waves but in true humility choose to walk the path of submission to the Father. And as the book of Philippians states, the Father exalted Him above all. That at the sound of His name, every knee shall bow, tongue confess that Christ is Lord. This passage speaks of how the Father entrusted Christ in earth with His Spirit. His will was pleased with Him. Through the Spirit of God, He would serve humanity in humility. He indeed chose to humble Himself in the midst of mockery, pain and suffering. He however persevered in service in the hope of the day of redemption of mankind. At the cross. Christ offered Himself as a living sacrifice for us. Are we able to do the same for Him? Christ humbled himself on earth, can we do the same for Him? Christ was found pleasing by the Father here on earth, can God the Father say the same about us?
