Our life's patterns transformed by God's grand story

CHILDREN…

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Matthew 18:5‭-‬6 KJV

Christ was speaking as He held children. He was instructing us on how to treat children. To receive them, to teach them soundly, not to offend them! These might be aspect we ignore often when dealing with children whether it be in Sunday school, school, neighborhood, family or even on the streets. Do we receive children in the name of Christ? Do we embrace those who’re destitute? Do we show love to those who are fatherless? Do we endeavour to instruct them soundly? As teachers, do we engage passionately in teaching them correctly? Do we offend them by over punishing them? Do we abuse them? Children by their very nature are accepted by Christ the way they are. If we offend them, we offend Christ and our punishment is sure are stated in the last portion of the passage.
