Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

There is something good about agreement. Especially when it is agreement between people as they petition God. God answers the prayers of those who agree together to petition Him. However, scripture also warns us not to agree against God’s will. The story of the tower of Babel illustrates this perfectly. But as long as we agree on prayer in things that build us in Him, things that edify others, things that develop us, God hears and God answers. In fact scripture puts it so explicitly…it states that if two or more agree on ANYTHING, it shall be done for them by the heavenly Father. Anything means anything. We might have a family issue, a financial issue, a health issue any issue, as long as we agree with others to petition God, He shall answer our prayers. I have seen the power of corporate prayers over my life. I have seen instant answers over corporate prayers. Indeed God at times answers His people swiftly when they pray corporately. There seems to be a unique move of God in the midst of a group or multitude of people especially when they are in agreement of thought. In Psalms 133, scripture says that the Lord commands a blessing upon the unity of brethren. That’s why He says that where 2 or 3 are gathered in His name there He shall be in their midst. Our God is personal. But He’s also a God who responds to like-minded people who agree in Him when in prayer.
