In his last days Jacob summoned his sons to hear from him. He wanted to put his house in order before his departure. But what he was to tell them was not just last words but prophecy of things to come. These were words that would come to life in their lives. Through these words, we see how the consequences of sin carry on throughout generations. Through these words we see God’s favor and mercy. Through these words we see God fulfilling His promises. Through these words we see God honoring obedience.
